Jamie L Mitchell has over 32 years of experience developing and testing both hardware and software. He is a pioneer in the test automation field and has worked with a variety of vendor and open-source test automation tools since the first Windows tools were released with Windows 3.0. He has also written test tools for several platforms. Jamie specializes in increasing the automation productivity of test teams through innovative ideas and custom tool extensions. In addition, he provides training, mentoring, process auditing, and expert technical support in all aspects of testing and automation. Jamie is the former Lead Automation Engineer for American Express Distributed Integration Test / Worldwide, and has successfully designed and implemented test automation projects for many top companies, including American Express, Mayo Clinic, IBM AS/400 division, ShowCase Corporation, and others. Contents ok, formatting mistakes not excusable

I bought the 2nd edition (on paper) to prepare for the Advanced Test Analyst examination.
I would give it 4 stars, but there are some formatting problems that, ironically, nobody checked for before printing.
For example on page 59, discussing Multiple Condition Coverage for an "A and B" condition

"we can calculate the number of tests needed (22)"

Sure the number of tests must be 4. How did they come up with 22? Either the "to power of" operator is not printed, or the superscript was not properly formatted.
It should have been 2^2
On the previous page there is another occurrence of the same problem.
And another one again on page 59, near the bottom

"Since there are five atomic conditions, we would expect to see 25, or 32, unique rows on the table"

Obviously it was meant "2^5, or 32, unique rows". I find it sad that a book on testing did not get enough proofreading.

And who came up with the idea of printing the ISTQB glossary entries in black on a dark grey background? Sans serif, to top it off.

Content wise, the book is not bad. My problem is that now I don't know whether to trust the book with regards to the ISTQB content. Surely if the "25 or 32" mistake slipped by, content mistakes might lurk there.

An Interesting And Useful Book!

Fruits are a gift from God. There are at least 2000 of them around the world, if not more. Each one has something to contribute to health, welfare and healing. Of these, the author has selected 35 fruits that are easily available in the US.

Each fruit gets a detailed introduction and most of them have pictures. The author does a good job of introducing these 35 fruits and their healing power. It would be helpful to see a Subject Index in the next edition of this eBook.

*** As an expert in Alternative Medicine I strongly endorse what the author claims in this book.
*** I encourage potential readers to get acquainted with these fruits and their properties.

Perfect review of the most important fruits your body needs.

When I was younger, my family used to drink a lot of fruit juices but then thanks to my uncle, we had to stop because apparently, water was better. Well, for a long time I lost appreciation for fruit, and decided to read this book to see what I'm missing. I as surprised, not only I learned that there are over 2,000 fruits in the world (and the book only covers the 35 most important ones so you don't go crazy reading about 2,000) but I learned things I didn't know. For example, avocados have more potassium than bananas yet with bananas you can find B6 and treat neuritis (inflammation of the nerves). Blackberries fight free radicals, cranberries are good with urinary track infection (you should still see a doctor, but one does get better flow after eating or drinking cranberries), figs are fantastic for constipation and people dealing with diabetes, grape juice can cure migraines, and watermelons can be grilled to make a salad. This is the perfect supermarket shopping list. Great advice.

Dose of healthy yum!!

While most of the information contained in this book was not novel to me personally, it has been presented in a concise manner. It is certainly nice to have all the details in one place including the bare bones of popular recipes, which I did look up online and try. I have successfully used the information in this book to encourage my 4 year old to eat more fruit :)

Writing style and tone isn't quite...right...

Note- I did not purchase from this seller but wanted to review the product

I bought an online version of this book from the actual publishers and use the online Mindtap service for an upper-level college marketing class. I dislike the tone of voice in this book...it seems condescending at times and is written at a 5th grade level. Sentences are very repetitive and wordy. The interface for the online service also is very wonky.

I will say, I do like the online version for the fact of how it is divided up. Instead of chapter sections spanning across many pages, the publishers divided each section into their own pages. For example, Topic 1-b of chapter one, (although in normal context would span across many pages) is one large page. When you click next, you go to topic 1-c. This makes the text seem more organized and makes the read seem much faster.

Unique plot twist that re-defines "happily ever after"

K...this one is tricky and will take some time to review...

I've settled on a 3.5...

So, I finished this book almost a month ago, and I have tried to review it twice. I like the story. It is a great story with a lot of potential: a great female protagonist, interesting and deep supporting characters, a well-developed world, and a unique plot twist that re-defines "happily ever after."

I struggled with the editing in this story though - really struggled. It needed some quality time with a red pen and perhaps another revision to iron out some kinks and further develop the relationship between Leila and Nalick during her imprisonment. Also, there are issues with pacing during this time and too much awkwardness in the development of that relationship for me to be comfortable with it. I mean King Nalick is not one to be messed with; he is scary to most who have heard of him. However, Leila doesn't show her intimidation; I love her attitude toward him even in the face of what she has heard of him. On the other hand, the author doesn't see enough of the development of their relationship to really feel invested in it.

Hmm...I liked this story for the most part at the beginning, but the middle and ending honestly got a little boring and even a little unbelievable. I did like the characters, but I would have loved more detail on events that happened (I'm not going to give away spoilers). Leila seemed a little too good to be true, if that makes sense. She always gets out of tough situations, is the best fighter around (even teaching the men how to fight), all at 18? I don't mean any disrespect to the author, and I did want to find out what the secret was, but it seemed like everyone just accepted it a little too easily. I don't know, it just wasn't I couldn't put down. *I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Great bittersweet romance!!

I have to say I loved every moment of this book. From page one all the way to the bittersweet and unexpected ending. I love the world of this book Lexia the desert city, Dria the river city, North Country the mountain city, each with their own unique way of life and each equally descriptive and beautiful. I especially love the characterization, each character has a different unique personality with their own individual quirks. I loved that I could relate to each and every one of them. I also like that the true bad guy in this novel is fate, life, and time. Though their were bad people they were not the main culprit. I haven't ever read a book quite like this one. It was unique and original. I loved how it was more about how she lived her life then her saving the world or some cliche thing. It was well developed, well thought out, and well written. The imagery was beautiful. My favorite part of the whole book was the characterization and the lives and choices each character made. It's been a long time since I've read a book like this not since Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran.

This book is about a woman named Leila who is a courier. Her friend gets caught one day and Leila barters her life for her friends. Nalick the king that caught her makes a deal with her if she stays and marries him he will let her friend go. Nalick is doing this in the beginning because his seer saw that Leila and he were fated to be together. At first I was pissed at Nalick for forcing her into this when she didn't want it but later I found he was a sweet, caring man that just wanted her to stay long enough to get to know him. I love how their relationship grows. Its slow but because it is its realistic, and there is no denying that they love each other. The other nobles of Lexia don't like Leila because she's a commoner and other kings are trying to kidnap her to make her their bride also, so their lives are hardly dull.

Leila is so cool. She can definitely take care of herself. She's strong-willed, head-strong, and stubborn, but she's also trustworthy, caring, and has a huge heart that is loyal and pure. I loved the children Phillip, Tim, and Ruth. They were adorable and just had my heart melting from the first page. Nalick is a strict and scary king, but underneath he's caring, loving, and a little bit of an anxious worrywart. But he's handsome and has a heart of gold. Anatolio well his character was incredibly done. He was Leila's protector, her shadow. He knew everything about her and he truly cared about her. Now I don't want to give the ending away so all I'm going to say is pay attention to his character because he plays a major role in Leila's life later.

one of the best architectural guides

This is a splendid little architectural guide book, filled with valuable information, great photos and perceptive comments. It puts London's recent architectural achievements in context and is of value to both visitors and residents. I like the fact that the author is unafraid to express opinions, unlike most guide books that are anodyne and timid at the possibility of causing offense. The book covers an amazing amount of ground, with useful chapters on areas such as the Docklands, the emerging neighborhoods of places such as Hoxton. The amount of information on each building is good, with insights into why something looks the way it does. The story behind the Gherkin, for example is fascinating.

Terrible conversion to Kindle

Ken Allinson knows all about the subject. The printed book may be good, but the Kindle version is terrible. The maps are unreadable and the photos are small and poorly organized. Need urgent improvements!
